There are a selection of yoga classes which take place at the centre:
Ashtanga classes with Holly KnightAshtanga / Vinyassa / Hatha Yoga
Tuesday's 6.15 - 7.15pmSuitable for intermediate or advanced beginners... a dynamic & creative vinyassa (flow) class with elements of ashtanga, building unity between the breath, body & mind. The internal heat from the breath creates purification in the body & the fluid movement of vinyassa creates a meditative flow focussing and calming the mind. Expect sprinklings of philosophy, readings / poetry, chakra meditations & themes in line with nature.
Wednesday's 6.15 - 7.15pmSuitable for complete beginners or on/off practitioners... a dynamic flow class with elements of ashtanga. I encourage focussing on building a steady even breath primarily & then introduce fluid movement in the body to calm the mind. This class is always busy with bright & wonderful spirits bringing a special energy to the shrine room. Expect uplifting energy, some laughter & themes in line with nature & yama's / nyama's (ethics in yoga)
Thursday's 6.15 - 7.15pmSuitable for everyone… A slow flow hatha class focussing on gently opening joints & deepening stretches with a longer hold and slower pace. Using props like blocks and straps to support and encourage a softer and gentler approach. The breath is slower and deeper guiding in a stiller & calming energy. Expect cosmic & twinkly music, a nurturing touch & deep peaceful relaxation.

Yoga classes with Holly Lucas
I teach a variety of styles from slow and calming Hatha Yoga, where we hold the postures for longer periods of time emphasising our awareness on the body and mind letting go, to faster paced flowing classes like Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow. My main teaching is always on finding the correct alignment for where you are at in your own practise at this time. I place a considerable importance on using our breath to connect with the body, becoming aware of our selves, our thoughts and emotions. Each posture can be seen as a mini meditation, using the body to become aware of ourselves in the present moment.
